Winamac Athletics

Winamac Volleyball made the trek to Morgan Township last night to take on a tough Cherokee's team. Comparable to Tuesday night's battle against Tippecanoe Valley, the Warriors scrappy defense was eventually worn down by Morgan Township's big hitting front line. Ending the night in 3 sets (10-25, 9-25 and 21-25) the Warriors proved they weren't going down without a fight. Finishing the night with an ace, 3 kills, a block and 6 digs was Brooke Rausch. Piper Link added 5 digs and 2 kills, while Kaelyn O'Connor added 2 kills and 2 aces of her own. Raegan Kasten added 8 digs and several great service receptions to help the Warriors out of their rut early in the third set. Winamac travels to Northfield for a dual JV/Varsity battle tomorrow at 9:00 AM.
